Garabed Klanian

Garabed Klanian was the youngest person in Providence among the people from Khoshmat. After receiving primary education at the school of Khoshmat, he managed to escape the chaos created by the Turks by getting to the country of Freedom in 1907. He was one of the most energetic, active, and vigorous young men one could ever see. He married in 1921 and had a very talented daughter, who benefited from the good upbringing he provided. Garabed was good at making jewelry and simultaneously worked in the field of life insurance.

Garabed lived in comfort and used his material and non-material wealth for the benefit of the nation, putting in great effort into leadership positions in the church, Tbrotsasirats Association, Ramgavar Party (Armenian Democratic Liberal Party,) and Armenian General Benevolent Union.
As the Chairman of the Literary Committee he provided moral support during the publication of this book. He provided some useful information about the origin of Klanian family on the occasion of the last meeting held in the church.

Unfortunately, despite his great desire to see this book published, he was unable to do so; his sudden early death left his most cherished dreams unfulfilled. (One of those dreams was to provide legal support to the publishers of this book.) Garabed died in Providence. His funeral ceremony was entrancing and glorious.
